University Transfer Program (A.A. Equivalent)

University Transfer Program (30–90 Credit Hours)

The University Transfer Program at Salzburg College is a condensed, flexible academic program of 30–90 U.S. credit hours, designed for students who wish to complete the first one to three years of a four-year bachelor’s degree while studying abroad in Salzburg, Austria.

This accelerated university transfer program covers the foundational coursework required by most U.S. undergraduate degree programs. Students earn U.S. university credits through Northern Illinois University (NIU) while benefiting from small class sizes, individualized academic advising, and an immersive international learning environment.

The curriculum parallels Northern Illinois University’s Foundational Studies and Knowledge Domain requirements, ensuring academic continuity and transferability. Upon successful completion, students may transfer their credits to NIU or to another accredited college or university of their choice, subject to the receiving institution’s transfer policies.
