Academic/Gap Year Program

The Academic/Gap Year Program is an expansion of the Semester Program offered at Salzburg College. It is designed to facilitate students in immersing themselves fully in Austrian culture and the German language. We assist students in seamlessly transitioning their lives and education to Central Europe, making them an integral part of the local culture. Next to the blend of classroom instruction, field experience, online learning, and more extensive independent travel, students also gain workplace experience by interning with an Austrian company or organization that works internationally.
Students apply for a Student Residence Permit that allows for a stay up to 8 months and intern legally in Austria.
